Churchill leads all investment and development activities for Alpine Investments, including deal sourcing, capital formation and investor relations efforts. Churchill brings fourteen years of experience in acquisitions, ground-up development, asset management, and commercial brokerage. His capabilities include new business development and deal sourcing, project feasibility, financial analysis, site selection, negotiations, due diligence, entitlements, and project management.
Prior to forming Alpine Investments in 2016, Churchill led the development of 1.4 million square feet ($750M) of Class A office space as Senior Director of Development at Irvine Company, one of the nation’s largest private real estate companies. In total, during his time at Irvine Company, Churchill was involved in the development and redevelopment of over four million square feet of office and mixed-use. Previous experience includes two years as Real Estate Manager for the Southern California region at hotel developer/operator OTO Development, four years in commercial brokerage in North and South Carolina, and two years as an investment analyst in the multi-family and retail sectors.
Churchill received his MBA with concentrations in Real Estate Finance and Development and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Originally from North Carolina, he resides in Denver with his wife Alex (who is originally from Denver), and daughters Collins and Carter. Churchill enjoys the outdoors, travel, reading, spending time with family, and watching the Tar Heels.
David Pietsch III
David leads all day-to-day operations for Alpine Investments, including deal sourcing, investor relations, asset management, and property management. David brings ten years of experience in operations, title and escrow, asset management, acquisitions, and leasing.
Prior to joining Alpine Investments, David was the VP of operations for Title Guaranty of Hawaii, the largest title and escrow firm in Hawaii. Previous experience includes 6 years as President of DTP Holdings, Inc. where he oversaw all day-to-day operations, development, acquisitions, and leasing of office and retail properties throughout Hawaii, California, Washington, and Oregon.
David received his MBA with a concentration in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business. Prior to attending DU, David received a Bachelors of Arts in History from U.C.L.A. While at U.C.L.A., David was an All-American Water Polo player and a member of the 2004 NCAA National Championship Team. Originally from Hawaii, David now resides in Denver with his wife, Kristin, and three children. He loves to surf, snowboard, hike, and play water polo.
David Copperman is the Development Manager at Alpine Investments and is involved in all design, construction and development-related aspects of the firm. His primary responsibilities focus on macro-level project execution, design management, constructability and feasibility analysis and due diligence for future developments and new acquisitions.
David has 10 years of construction experience, from managing over $300m worth of construction and from working for several years within the trades. Prior to joining Alpine, David worked for Plant Construction of San Francisco as a Senior Project Manager. He brings a diverse background including management of a historic courthouse renovation, working on the Renzo Piano designed City Center in San Ramon – a 23 acre ground up shopping district, and his favorite project, a seismic retrofit on Alcatraz Island. Prior to working for Plant Construction, David worked for a General Contractor, ESI out of Boise, where he focused on higher education and multi-unit dormitories. David moved to Denver to finish his education and received his Master’s in Real Estate and the Built Environment from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. Prior to his career in construction David received his undergraduate degree in Construction Management at Boise State University.
Originally from California (but fell in love with Colorado), David and his wife Lenka are avid climbers, love backpacking and skiing, and also enjoy gardening and cooking.
